The MPS internship framework (MPS-IF) offers B.A. students from various institutions the opportunity to participate in MPS research and projects through practicum courses across different departments and faculties. Interns will gain experience and knowledge in political analysis of the maritime domain, focusing on aspects such as policy, national security, strategy, innovation, diplomacy, economics, energy, and other topics on the public agenda. Generally, the internship will be conducted individually and remotely, allowing interns to work from wherever they prefer.
The internship is suitable for second-year students and above, with acceptance into the program contingent on a personal interview at the beginning of the academic year. Students who complete 100 hours of internship will be eligible for credit points, as determined by their departmental practicum courses. Interns will be assigned to team projects and be required to conduct joint research under the guidance and supervision of MPS team throughout the academic year.
As the final goal of the internship, teams that successfully complete their research projects within the required timeframe will receive guidance and instructions to refine their findings and final reports into an academic article, that will be submitted for publication in an international peer-reviewed journal.
