Rear Adm. (Ret.) Yosef Ashkenazi, retired from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) as Rear Admiral in the Israeli Navy, Following 36 years of service in numerous positions of increasing responsibility. In his last position as the Head of Technology, Logistic and Materiel Command, he conducted two national maritime projects of the Navy in Germany: the production of the new Saar 6 corvettes and the production of the new fifth- and sixth- generation submarines for the IN -Submarine Flotilla. Yosef also led development of the Navy’s Weapon Systems and Platforms Multiyear plan. Prior to his recent Navy leadership role, he served as Commanding Officer (CEO) of the Israeli Naval Shipyard and Head of the Planning, Maintenance & Logistics Department at IN Headquarters. RAdm. Ashkenazi graduated from the IN Naval Academy. He holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology , and an Executive MBA from Leon Recanati Graduate School of Business Administration at Tel Aviv University. RAdm. Ashkenazi is a graduate of Israel National Defense Collage and holds an additional MA in Political Science and National Security Studies from University of Haifa. His main areas of expertise and interest are technology, principally of the maritime arena, management, public speaking, organizational behavior and culture and finance.
