Semion Polinov

Semion Polinov holds a B.A. (summa cum laude, 94) and an M.A (magna cum laude, 93) both from the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies, University of Haifa. Since 2017, Semion Ph.D. Candidate at Dr. Moses Strauss Department of Marine Geosciences at the University of Haifa. His Ph.D. work deals with “Historical changes in human activities in the Mediterranean Sea and their drivers”, under the supervision of Dr. Revital Bookman and Prof. Noam Levin. In 2019 joined Semion as a Research Associate in Maritime Policy & Strategy Research Center. Within HMS, Semion working on the Geostrategic effects of climate change on Israel’s. Also, responsible for collaborating with research centers in India HMF, New Delhi. Semion is a course lecturer in the Dr. Moses Strauss Department of Marine Geosciences “Practical GIS for Marine Geoscience” in last 3 years. Semion field of interest is GIS, Remote Sensing, and environmental analysis of Big Data.
