International Advisory Committee

The members of the International Advisory Committee members are leading professionals in Israel and the world in institute’s fields of activity.

It’s role is to offer independent professional advice to the MPS Director on matters related to the Institute’s activities on the following:

Institute’s work plan and publications, including the annual strategic assessment of the maritime situation
Institute’s collaboration with the Israeli National Center for Blue Economy and maximizing synergy
The participation of MPS researchers and research fellows in competitive research grants and their publication record in leading academic journals in Israel and abroad
Assess professional personnel levels at MPS and enhance professional development, training and external recruitment
Evaluate level of research research conducted by the Institute’s researchers and research fellows
Assess nature and contribution of MPS collaborations with research centers/institutes/institutions
Assistance in establishing contact with new research institutions abroad
Professional achievements of scholars and research assistants of MPS who won MPS scholarships
Proper utilization of resources, including assistance in finding additional funding sources for MPS’s activities
